Why we make Ford F100 Parts?

Arclight Fab makes parts for Ford F100 pickups because, first and foremost, we enjoy them. We are enthusiasts of Ford pickups. The F100 market is an under serviced market for aftermarket products, so our goal is to fill that void by making suspension components to lower the trucks, engine swap kits, transmission swap kids, and other various parts to customize Ford F100 trucks to allow other enthusiasts to make them a little bit cooler and more readily available for those who want to modify these trucks.

Arclight Fab specializes in F100 trucks from 1957 to 1979, which would include four generations of F100s - 1957 to 1960 often referred to as Fridges, 1961 to 1966 called Slicks, 1967 to 1972 called Bump Sides, and 1973 to 1979 called Dent Sides.

What kind of F 100 parts and kits are available?

Currently we offer our stage 1 kits for 1961 - 1964 Ford F100 pickups which include suspension kits containing all the components to lower the vehicle to give it a much better stance; motor mount kits which allow you to swap in a small block Ford 289, 302, or 351, as well as transmission crossmember kits to put in a manual T-5 transmission. Along with all those parts we have all the items to complete the kits like a customized drive shaft, Ridetech shocks that we spec for our suspension kits, and some other small components for Slicks.

For example, the main components of our popular stage 1 Ford F100 suspension upgrade kit includes a dropped I-Beam and a pair of lowered leaf springs for the front as well as the kingpin kit so you can put a new kit in the axel. With our F100 suspension kit the customer will need to send us the truck’s steering arms, pitman arm, and drag link so we can modify them to correct the steering geometry of the truck to eliminate the bump steer after you lower the truck. We provide new front U-Bolts, new front bump stops, new front Ridetech HQ shocks that we've valved specifically for these trucks based on the weight and the height of the truck after you lower it. We also offer a brand new tie rod assembly kit that replaces the old one that these trucks usually have after sitting around for 50 years and are typically bent or not functioning properly.

The rear kit consists of a C-Notch Kit allowing the frame to clear the axel when the truck is lowered. Our Flip Kit contains new spring saddles and U-Bolts that allows you to flip your leaf springs to the bottom side of the axle. We went with this set up to allow you to lower the truck as much as possible without having to cut a hole in the bed floor. Also included in the kit is new shock brackets, Ridetech HQ shock package for the rear, and new U-Bolts which completes the F100 suspension kit.

The line of F100 wheels and tires that we produce are specifically designed to mimic a factory F100 hubcap that would have originally come on the truck, however we’ve modified the design to increase the size of the cap and accommodate larger, modern tire sizes. Now instead of having a small center cap, it'll be anywhere from 18”, 19” or 20” wheel with a classic look.

Who are Arclight Fab F100 Truck Parts made for?

If you are the type of person that doesn't want to take your truck to a shop, if you appreciate the actual work of fabrication, and thoroughly enjoy the do-it-yourself satisfaction that comes from making your own modifications on your own truck in your own driveway, then Arclight Fab F100 parts and kits are for you! There is something to be said for wrenching it on yourself, which is why we've designed these kits to be as easy as possible to install. With Arclight Fab, anybody with their own tools in their home driveway who want to do F100 upgrades, totally can. For the most part, our stage 1 kits for F100 trucks are a bolt-in operation. On some of the kits there are a few components that need to be welded in, but it's a pretty minor task. Somebody with even a little bit of experience working on cars can tackle an Arclight Fab kit. With kits like the motor mount for the F100, we made the entire kit bolt-in including the transmission cross member, allowing you to do a full F100 engine swap in a day with the help of a friend!

What is the best way to verify which original F100 parts should have come with my truck?

The easiest way is to find the VIN tag on your truck and then plug your VIN number into our Ford F100 VIN decoder and it will be able to tell you all of the detailed information you need to know about your truck. The Arclight Fab VIN decoder will give you tons of information about your F100: What year it is; Whether it is a half ton, three quarter ton, or one-ton truck; What color paint coat was on it; What interior packages that truck came with; etc. The VIN number can give a lot more information than most people think, even down to where in the production line it came off of (it's x number truck off the line), the exact paint code, or what drive train originally came in the truck. Essentially the VIN number will give you all the general information you could possibly need about your F100 truck.
